POWER SYSTEMS ANALYST

 

Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Power Systems Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems analysis, design, and optimization. You will be responsible for analyzing power systems to ensure they operate efficiently, reliably, and safely. This role requires a deep understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution, as well as the ability to use advanced analytical tools and software. You will work closely with other engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to develop and implement solutions that improve the performance and reliability of power systems. Your work will involve conducting detailed studies, simulations, and assessments to identify potential constraints and recommend corrective actions or network reinforcements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
•  Minimum of 5 years of experience in power systems analysis or a related role.
• Understanding and familiarity with transmission and distribution protection coordination and commissioning
•  Strong understanding of power generation, transmission, and distribution.
•  Proficiency in using power system analysis software (e.g., DIGSILENT, PSS/E, ETAP, PSCAD).
•  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
•  Strong communication and presentation skills.
•  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•  Knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NERC).
•  Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
•  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•  Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
•  Familiarity with renewable energy systems and technologies
• Proficiency in MS Office, powerpoint and excel
